Art 1 Final Portfolio

So yeah. Final Exam. Stuff. Random words. Onward.

1. Which project was your favorite or most successful this semester? Please explain.
My favorite had to be the shadow project. It was fun, and stacking those things on a slanted table was hard. It turned out pretty cool. It was probably the best thing I had in this class. I had later re-positioned the background to have the moon behind one of the towers. It looked awesome.

2. Regardless of whether you liked or disliked a project, which one did you learn, grow, or developed the most from? Please explain.
The one that helped me grow the most would probably be the painting project. Even though I didn't do much with it, it was kind of fun when I actually worked on it.

3. Choose 1 piece of Art that you used skills and techniques learned from previous projects. Discuss your growth as an artist and how you incorporated these skills and techniques to create the piece.
I'd probably have to choose the zentangle project. It's not the best fit, but it's the closest really. Also with the photo below, ignore everything beyond the triangle.

4. Which project do you feel was the least important in learning the concepts taught in this course? Please explain.
Forced perspective. I'll keep it in mind if I start travelling. Holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa, anyone? But hey, it was fun spending a day wandering around campus with a camera. That's also a nifty way to skip class. Grab a camera and a friend, wander around, and occasionally pose.

5. Choose a piece or artwork where the subject matter reflects you as an artist. One that you have a personal connection to. Please explain your choice.
Maybe the iPad model project? It's weird, and I was lazy with it.

Also this is what it became when I attempted to mold it. Just a ball with a face. It was later painted some ugly blueish-gray color with an attempt at white eyes. I don't have a picture, and probably won't even be able to grab it out of the art room :(
